Lopico rolled out numerous new features on July 24th. This is the first in a series of posts taking a more in-depth look at these features.
“Lopico friends” is a new service from Lopico that allows you to see what your friends are reviewing and see what businesses they have bookmarked.
How it works: To add someone to your friends simply navigate to their profile (either through a review or through a friend) and click on the link above the person’s picture that says ‘Add ___ to your friends’. After they confirm your friendship they will be added to your friends.
Viewing friends: To view your friends, simply click on the link on any page on Lopico that says “View Profile.” Your friends are located at the bottom of your profile.
Your first friend: To get started with “Lopico friends” everyone is given one friend when they sign up. Your first friend is J.D. Amer, Lopico’s founder and president.
“Lopico friends” is a brand new feature on Lopico with more capabilities coming very soon. If you have any comments or questions please use the Feedback and Help sections on Lopico.

I think Lopico friends rocks! And it’s really kind of the President to make sure everyone has a friend! I wish I had a Lopico.com t-shirt so I could be a walking advertisement for Lopico. Maybe Lopico can establish some kind of award system – like write 10 reviews and get a free t-shirt (minus shipping and handling). Or maybe someone could design a really cool t-shirt that could be sold on the site. Really cool t-shirts are hot right now.

I agree with the t-shirt idea. I also think there should be a way to send messages to Lopico Friends’ profiles for example if you are traveling to some city and you want to ask further questions about a review. Just an idea. The President is my best Lopico Friend.
